Expertise: Nutrient cycling, soil and crop management, modelling and simulation, climate change

Now with the Univeristy of Minnesota 

 

Saurabha Koirala (Ph.D.)

Ph.D. student at the Plant Sciences and Plant Pathology

Thesis: Alfalfa environments, various fall dormancy genetics, and cutting timings

Funding: USDA-NIFA

Expected Graduation: 2027

M.S. of Animal and Range Sciences

Thesis: Effect of boron on alfalfa yield and quality at various water regimes

Funding: Montana Fertilizer Tax

Graduated: May 2018 and Graduated with Ph.D. from Univ. of California-Riverside

Now an Assistant Professor of Precision Agriculture at the LRES, Montana State University

M.S. at the Plant Sciences and Plant Pathology

Thesis: Impact of nitrogen and water management to grain yield, yield components and traits, and grain quality of two contrasting wheat classes.

Funding: Montana Fertilizer Tax and MT Wheat and Barley

Graduated: May 2019, is now in Spain for Ph.D. studies
