1-year-old vines planted in WARC's research vineyard.

Grapes can be grown successfully in Montana, but not in all locations, depending on local climate and soil conditions. Before planting, growers should evaluate the soils and climate of their chosen site while also planning the vineyard layout to make caring for and harvesting the vines more convenient. There are many issues that can be addressed easily prior to planting that become very difficult to fix once the vines are in the ground.
