MAES Advisory Council

The MAES Advisory Council exists to help with program planning matters as they relate to the research, testing and development functions of the research centers and their relationships to other cooperating agencies including the USDA-Agricultural Research Service. The 17-member group meets three times per year.

More information can be found on the Advisory Council webpage.

Field Days

Summer field days are our primary events for connecting with our communities, and we hope you'll join us at the research center nearest you! All are welcome and each field day includes a meal, talks by scientists and research updates, facility tours and more.

For this year's field day schedule and more information, check out our Field Days homepage

Hunting Regulations

Hunting is allowed on several MAES properties, but individual farms and facilities may have their own regulations.

If you are interested in hunting on MAES property, please see our hunting regulations page and reach out to a facility directly if you have questions.

Impacts by the Numbers

We believe in sharing how we invest resources in Montana programs across the state. Producers and commercial businesses fund public research through the Montana Wheat and Barley Research and Development check-offs, the Fertilizer Tax funds, Pea and Lentil Awards and the Noxious Weed Board.

Find information on our budget, expenses, grants and more on our Impacts page.

Reports

MAES research accomplishments are compiled in annual reports, five-year Plans of Work and an annual report of Multi-State and Integrated Activity research funded by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture Hatch-Act.

You can access published versions of all our latest reports on our MAES Reports page.
